Kaddish
(n) Most people are familiar with Kaddish as "The Mourner's Prayer” (or “The Mourner's Kaddish“), and "saying Kaddish" refers to the recitation of this prayer. The Mourner's Kaddish is recited for the 11 months following a loved one's death and forever after on the yahrzeit (the anniversary of their passing). However, Kaddish actually has a broader definition as it refers to a hymn of praise to G-d sung at Synagogue. During regular services, different varieties of Kaddish are inserted between sections of the service.
